Kim Kardashian and fiance Kanye West have reportedly scoped out possible wedding destinations around Paris.

"They've started looking a little at wedding venues," a source told People. "They saw Versailles and they both think it's beautiful."

Reports had surfaced early last month the couple planned to tie the knot at the Palace of Versailles, however, the palace's Twitter account posted on Monday, "On 19th January @KimKardashian and @kanyewest visited the Palace of Versailles but they are not planning their wedding at the Palace."

Once at the Chateau de Versailles this past weekend, according to People, the couple had been greeted by several officials and given about an hour-and-a-half to explore the grounds and extensive gardens once public visiting hours had ended.

"I have to think they were looking at a venue [where] they could hold a ceremony or reception," an eyewitness of the pair's little excursion told the magazine.

The trip "had all the airs of a wedding recon."

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and West had also reportedly checked out a location on Faubourg St. Honore, an exclusive hotel known for protecting the privacy of its guests, followed by the Trianon Palace Hotel. The Chateau de Versailles was their last stop.

Kardashian, 33, and West, who has publicly expressed he wants a big wedding since he's never been married before, were visiting the city while Paris Fashion Week is underway.

Kardashian started dating West, 36, shortly after her split from Kris Humphries in October 2011. They welcomed a daughter named North "Nori" West into the world on June 15 and got engaged on the reality TV star's October 21 birthday last year.
