Boys and girls from across the United States have come out for their chance at stardom as auditions are currently underway, marking the launch of production on "American Juniors" (formerly titled "Junior Idol"). "American Juniors" will premiere Tuesday, May 27 with a special 90-minute episode (8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), and will air Tuesdays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) beginning Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesdays (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), beginning Wednesday, June 4 on FOX.

During the auditions, producers will evaluate each child's singing and dancing abilities and, as part of the show's production, will whittle down the group of thousands to 20 semi-finalists who will perform on air weekly. The home audience will then vote weekly for their favorite child. Results from Tuesday night's performances will be revealed during Wednesday night's show. Each week, America will choose the best performer and advance him/her into the final group of five. This final five will become a new performing sensation that will take the world by storm.

"American Juniors" will be produced by 19 TV Limited and FremantleMedia North America.
