UPI News Service, 09/06/2005

The Netherlands' government says a baby due to be born on the "Big Brother" reality TV show can get only limited screen time.

The Ministry of Social Affairs rejected producer Endemol Nederland's request for an "unlimited exemption" from child labor laws for the infant once it is born, Expatica reported Tuesday.

"Big Brother" will be allowed to show the baby on camera once a day and no longer than two hours maximum in an eight-day period, Expatica said.

"Big Brother" will also have to ease its own rules and let an outside caregiver come into the house, the government said.
