Rancic, 37, disclosed her illness on Monday's edition of the "Today" show.

The "Fashion Police" co-host said a tumor was discovered during a mammogram while she was having in-vitro fertilization treatments in an effort to get pregnant. She added her prognosis for recovery from the disease is good and she is still determined to have a child, People.com said.

"I still want this baby ... because this baby has saved my life," People.com quoted her as saying. "I truly feel God was looking out after me ! If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker."

Rancic and her husband Bill star in Style Network's "Giuliana and Bill" show. He is a real-estate developer and the first winner of the business-themed competition series "The Apprentice."
