Fox is finally giving viewers a chance to see females reign supreme.

Fox has announced When Women Rule the World, a new reality series that will follow a group of strong-minded women as they run rough-shot over a group of unsuspecting men in a primitive Survivor-like society, is scheduled to premiere with a special two-hour episode on Monday, June 2 at 8PM ET/PT.

Following its debut broadcast, When Women Rule the World will move into its regular Mondays at 9PM ET/PT time slot beginning June 9.

Fox began production on When Women Rule the World last January, and while the series was initially scheduled to debut last spring, that never happened, and it was also left off both Fox's Summer 2007 schedule as well as its initial 2007-2008 primetime programming lineup.

When the recently ended Writers Guild of America strike began last fall, Fox apparently finally found room on its broadcast schedule for When Women Rule the World, scheduling it to premiere March 3.

However last month Fox announced When Women Rule the World would instead premiere at a "later date," replacing it with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' two-hour first-season finale broadcast on March 3 followed by repeat broadcasts of House in the Mondays at 8PM ET/PT beginning March 10.

When Women Rule the World will begin with 12 chauvinistic men becoming slaves to 12 "strong, educated and independent" women on an island that features only partially-completed living accommodations.

Similar to Survivor, the group will have to complete their shelters and find their own water and heat.  However unlike the long-running CBS reality show, only the male contestants -- who will have to "accede to the women's every command, 24/7" -- will be doing any of the work.

One of the men will be "traded for supplies" -- aka eliminated -- during each episode of the 11-episode series, with the last man standing winning $250,000.

When Women Rule the World is produced by Rocket Science Laboratories -- the reality TV production company behind previous Fox train-wreck series like Temptation Island, Married By America, Joe Millionaire, and My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance.

In addition to When Women Rule the World, Fox announced So You Think You Can Dance's fourth season will premiere with a two-hour broadcast on Thursday, May 22 at 8PM ET/PT.  So You Think You Can Dance 4's premiere will continue with another two-hour broadcast on Wednesday, May 28 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Following Fox's broadcast of So You Think You Can Dance 4's open auditions, the American Idol-like search for the country's top dancer will settle into a twice-weekly schedule in which two-hour performance shows will air on Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT and one-hour results shows will air Thursdays at 9PM ET/PT.
