Fox announced Monday that it has ordered a second season of Hell's Kitchen, its recently-concluded culinary boot camp reality series.

Hosted by foul-mouthed British chef Gordon Ramsay, Hell's Kitchen features aspiring chefs competing for the opportunity to win their own restaurant. Last Monday's finale of Hell's Kitchen's first season ended with Ramsay selecting Michael Wray, a 27-year-old executive chef from Fort Collins, CO, as the show's first season winner.

Although its premiere got off to a slow Memorial Day weekend start, Hell's Kitchen grew its ratings steadily during its ten-week run, becoming a modest summer hit.

Hell's Kitchen averaged slightly over seven million weekly viewers throughout its run, winning its time period among the Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens demographics. Its two-hour August 1 finale is expected to rank as the top ranked Adults 18-49 program of the week when the week's ratings are released on Tuesday.

According to Daily Variety, Fox reality chief Mike Darnell promises "some twists and turns" for Hell's Kitchen's second season.
