Food Network to debut new 'Ultimate Recipe Showdown's on March 14

Food Network has announced Ultimate Recipe Showdown's third season will premiere on Sunday, March 14 at 9PM ET/PT.

Ultimate Recipe Showdown's third season will follow a similar format to its first two installments, as each episode will feature four amateur cooks who have created a different culinary concoction in one of six different categories -- comfort food, burgers, cakes, hot and spicy, desserts, or hometown favorites.

At the conclusion of each episode, the judging panel -- which consists of Food Network Kitchens executive Katherine Alford, chef Michael Psilakis, and Good Housekeeping editor-in-chief Rosemary Ellis -- will choose the cook who created the best recipe in his or her category.

Each episode's winner will receive $25,000.

The Next Food Network Star second-season champ Guy Fieri will reprise his hosting role for the six-episode series.

Sundays will be a busy night for Fieri fans, as Minute to Win It -- a new game show that he'll helm for NBC -- also premieres March 14 and will air immediately before Ultimate Recipe Showdown in the broadcast network's Sundays at 8PM ET/PT timeslot.
