Elle Macpherson won't be returning as Fashion Star's host when the second season airs on NBC early next year.

"I have been involved with Fashion Star from the beginning, and am very proud to see it come to life, not only in America but globally," Macpherson told The New York Post.

"The show is in great hands, and although I will not be hosting this season, I will still be very involved [and] will be reviewing the format for the upcoming season."

While the 48-year-old Australian supermodel won't be reprising her role as host, she'll reportedly continue serving as one of Fashion Star's executive producers. Macpherson also has the new show Goddess with Guts in development.

According to the Post, Fashion Star producers have yet to decide whether Macpherson will be replaced or they will just eliminate the hosting position entirely. However, show mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos are all expected to return for the reality fashion competition's next season, which is scheduled to air on NBC on Sunday nights beginning in January.

In addition to Macpherson's departure, H&M will also reportedly not be one of the clothing buyers for the second season, allowing another retailer to take its place and join Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy's on the apparel-purchasing panel.
