Hill and McGraw will be serving as The Voice's key advisers for Season 11, a role which was filled by newbie coach Miley Cyrus last season.

For the first time ever, The Voice artists will have, not one, but two powerhouse key advisers to help them prepare for the "Knockout Round," which follows the next phase of the competition called the "Battle Round."

In seasons past, the key adviser basically served as a universal assistant to all four coaches and a guide to all the contestants during the Knockouts. Hill and McGraw will be working alongside Season 11 coaches Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

"Who better to help guide our artists at this critical point than the first couple of country music, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw," NBC reality chief Paul Telegdy said in a statement. "Our artists and our viewers will love hearing from two of the most talented and highly-decorated performers working in the music industry today."

Hill and McGraw are known for numerous hits and successful albums, not to mention their romance. The duo also recently announced they'll be setting out on tour next spring for the Soul2Soul The World Tour 2017.

"I think having the perspective of performing live in many different venues, from clubs to stadiums, will help us in working with The Voice artists this season," Hill said in a statement. "It's important that they be able to connect with their audience."

"I really like to dig into songs and how they need to be presented in a live environment," added McGraw. "I'm looking forward to working with the coaches to help the artists reach their potential."

The Voice has always attracted big stars in the music industry for the role of key adviser, as previous seasons have featured singer Taylor Swift, Fun frontman Nate Ruess, and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

In each Knockout round, an artist is paired against a teammate but will perform a song individually while the opponent sits nearby, listening and waiting for his or her turn. The opponent then sings his or her own choice of song. Once the two performances are done, the team's coach must decide which artist will advance to live shows and which person will go home.

The "Knockout Round" follows the "Battle Round," which kicks off next week. For the Battles, each coach has one mentor for his or her team. Those team mentors, as previously announced, will be rock star Sammy Hagar, singer and songwriter Charlie Puth, rock singer Joan Jett, and Broadway sensation Bette Midler
