David Archuleta aficionados are apparently in his corner after his news of his father's recent legal trouble surfaced.

Jeff Archuleta, the controversial alleged "stage dad" father of the seventh-season American Idol runner-up, plead no contest to soliciting a prostitute earlier this year.

"David is busy preparing for his upcoming tour with Demi Lovato," David's representative told Us Weekly in a statement on Thursday. "He thanks his fans for their continued support."

The charge against Archuleta resulted from a January 14 incident in which he was arrested during a police raid on the Queens of Reiki, a massage parlor in Midvale, UT.

Archuleta was the only patron in the parlor at the time of the raid, according to police.

"Two of our detectives went back to that room to stop the activity," Midvale Police Sgt. John Salazar told media outlets. "Inside they found a female masseuse and male client. At that time an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse."

Archuleta was ordered to pay a $582 fine and attend a class called "Thinking Errors" as part of his January plea.  He's reportedly complied with both conditions and the case is now scheduled for a June 30 review hearing in which the charge, a Class B misdemeanor, will likely be dismissed.

Erik Bauer, Archuleta's attorney, claims that his client didn't have any sexual contact in the parlor.  In addition, Bauer also stated that the incident had been his client's only visit to the business and he had only gone there for a back problem.
