U.S. actress Brooke Burke bruised her foot while rehearsing the jitterbug with her professional partner Derek Hough for "Dancing with the Stars," ABC said.

The network told People magazine Burke landed the wrong way on her right foot while doing a front flip during practice Sunday.
She was examined and had X-rays taken at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Monday and it was determined she suffered a severe bruise.
"She's a little sore but she rehearsed today and she feels ready to dance tonight," an ABC representative told People.
Still in the running for the mirror ball trophy, along with their professional dance partners, are Burke, Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Maurice Greene, Susan Lucci, Cloris Leachman, Cody Linley and Warren Sapp.
