Chaz Bono is standing by the comments he was shown making during Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars results show that there's a double standard in how the show's judges perceive an overweight woman participating in the competition versus a man.

"They seem to really have a theme on that show with women who need to lose weight and do it on the show. They're very encouraging and they seem to love that, but me being a bigger guy on the show and losing weight on the show didn't seem to inspire them in the same way," Bono, a transgender advocate, said during a Tuesday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live with professional partner Lacey Schwimmer.

During Monday night's Dancing with the Stars performance show, the thirteenth-season contestant was unhappy with his feedback from the judges -- especially from Bruno Tonioli -- after he had danced a tango with Schwimmer for Broadway Week.

"If you're an overweight woman in this competition losing weight, they love you. If you're an overweight guy trying to do this competition and get in shape, then they penalize you for it and call you a penguin. Bruno f***ing makes comments about me being cute and cuddly -- an Ewok with Princess Leia -- like I'm some fat troll dancing with this beautiful woman every week, and I'm sick of it," Bono said in a backstage segment that aired during Tuesday night's results show.

In his interview with Kimmel, Bono pressed how Dancing with the Stars allegedly makes it okay to poke fun at overweight men but not women. He also explained how the judges' mentions of his size and shape during their critiques never helped him to perform better.

"Look, I don't have any problem being on that show and being critiqued about my dancing. I mean, I was hoping for that. That's how you learn and how you get better, but being compared to animals or round objects, it didn't help me grow as a dancer," Bono said.

Bono and Schwimmer both said felt they would often receive unfair judging scores that didn't reflect their effort or improvement in the competition and that they deserved better scores for their Monday night routine.

"We were a little pissed last night... We thought we did a good job. We really thought we did a good dance," Bono told Kimmel.

"I think the judges' comments, sometimes, are inconsistent. So, it is what it is," Schwimmer said, adding that Bono worked extremely hard in rehearsals.

While Bono apparently gave the show everything he had and hoped to make it far in the competition, he admitted he never thought he was going to win the mirrorball trophy.

"No, never. I never thought that," Bono said.
