CBS has found a way to squeeze more mileage from its hit reality franchise ``Survivor.'' The network has greenlit an hourlong ``Survivor'' special that will air Thursday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. -- a week before ``Survivor 3: Africa'' bows in the same slot. Details of the special are still being worked out, but one insider said the hour will provide a look at ``how to play the game of 'Survivor.''' It will also offer an extensive preview of ``Survivor 3,'' with a peek at the show's new cast and location. Source: Variety"
