MTV has announced that 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave, a documentary mini-series chronicling the lives of Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro during the months, weeks and days prior to their wedding, will premiere on Wednesday, January 21st at 10:30 PM (ET/PT) after the 10:00 PM second season premiere of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson's Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.
"Newlyweds, which kicked off with Nick and Jessica's traditional, fairy tale wedding, struck a chord with our viewers. When we heard that Carmen and Dave were getting married and planning a provocative nontraditional wedding, we thought the two shows would make a perfect match," said Lois Curren, Executive Vice President, MTV Series Entertainment.
First announced in November, 'Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave documents the lives of Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro during the months leading up to their wedding and culminating with the wedding ceremony. During the filming, MTV's cameras captured Carmen and Dave as they struggled to balance their professional lives with the planning of the most important day of their life.
"MTV has been given an unprecedented look into the personal and professional lives of Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro to reveal the behind the scenes process of putting on a wedding that might prove to be the most talked about event of the year," says Brian Graden, President of Entertainment for MTV and VH1. "Our audience, continues to look to MTV to provide increased access and deeper connections to celebrities and we're thrilled to provide them with an inside look at the planning and making of Carmen and Dave's wedding."
During the seven episode series, viewers will witness the couple preparing for their anything-but-traditional and extraordinarily sexy wedding. Key events will include: Carmen choosing the guest list of rock royalty, picking out the flowers (you can forget about an all white wedding), deciding on the guest performance, the writing of the vows, and last but not least, the bachelor and bachelorette parties (fasten your seat belts!).
