Carly Waddell's situation on Bachelor in Paradise was devastating, but that's not stopping her from being thrilled for her best friend Jade Roper on her engagement to Tanner Tolbert.

"Whenever she gets in a funk (mostly because she couldn't be with Tanner until after the show...) I would say, 'Jade, go call Tanner... he will cheer you up,' and within a second of hearing his voice, she was giggling and smiling."
Waddell admitted Tolbert is Roper's "perfect counterpart."
"He makes her laugh... lifts her spirits... cherishes her," Waddell explained. "He loves to tell her 'happy wife, happy life.' They are the real deal. And I couldn't be more proud to call them both friends."
Waddell's journey in Paradise ended in tears because Kirk DeWindt, whom she dated since Day 1 of filming, shockingly dumped her before their final overnight fantasy-suite date together. She was blindsided that DeWindt's feelings weren't progressing when she was convinced she had fallen in love with the guy.
Roper also dated Tolbert from the start of the season, but Tolbert decided to get down on one knee and propose during the season finale. The couple revealed live on After Paradise Monday night they're extremely happy and already diving into wedding plans.
