An unidentified insider told The Sun "X Factor" head Simon Cowell will help push the interpretation of Mariah Carey's 1993 hit "Hero" to the top of the charts. Proceeds from the record will benefit the charity Help for Heroes.

"I've never heard Simon more excited about anything -- there's a real buzz about this single," the source said. "It's going to blow everyone away when they hear it."

"X Factor" contestants are scheduled to debut the single on the Oct. 25 episode of the ITV1 series. The single is slated for release Oct. 27, the source said.
