Palin, the former Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp star and two-time Dancing with the Stars contestant, has wed Meyer, a 27-year-old Marine Corps veteran, and they are currently enjoying their honeymoon, Entertainment Tonight reported.

"Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you'll end up where you're supposed to be," the couple told ET. "We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married!"

Palin, 25, and Meyer, who had received the Medal of Honor in 2009, exchanged their vows after speculation sparked they were back together romantically.

"Hard work and God's grace are the foundation of our new life together," the couple added. "With the love and support of our family we know we can get through anything."

The pair, who have a five-month-old daughter Sailor Grace together, announced their engagement in March 2015 but called off the wedding days before Palin was set to walk down the aisle in May of that year. Palin offered a very vague explanation at the time.

Palin then announced she was pregnant with her second child one month later in June 2015, asking people not to judge because -- despiter her mistakes -- the baby was planned.

On Tuesday, Meyer shared an Instagram photo of the bride and groom, showing off Palin's sparkly diamond-lined wedding ring.

"On one hand, we know that everything happens for a reason, and there are no mistakes or coincidences," Meyer captioned the image. "On the other hand, we learn that we can never give up, knowing that with the right tools and energy, we can reverse any decree or karma. So, which is it? Let the Light decide, or never give up? The answer is: both."

The following day, the couple shared the following inspirational quote on social media: "Happiness is not a state to arrive at but a manner of traveling."

Palin and Meyer currently have joint legal and physical custody of Sailor. Palin also has a son, Tripp Easton Johnston, from a previous relationship with ex-fiance Levi Johnston. They welcomed Tripp in December 2008 when Bristol was only 18-years-old. She and Johnston had been engaged twice before officially calling it quits in 2010.

Palin competed on the eleventh season of Dancing with the Stars in 2010 and reached the finals with pro partner Mark Ballas, finishing in third place. In November of that year, she appeared on TLC's Sarah Palin's Alaska documentary.

The daughter of Sarah Palin then starred in Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp on Lifetime in Summer 2012. She most recently competed on Dancing with the Stars' Fall 2012 All-Stars edition. She was sent home in the fourth week of the Season 15 competition.
