Brenna Gethers remains confident despite 'American Idol 5' rejection

"American Idol" reject Brenna Gethers has not lost any confidence in herself, despite being voted off the Fox TV talent show this week.

"It's all about Brenna Gethers," she told Saturday's New York Post. "You gotta either love it or hate it, but you will talk about it -- I will be talked about."

The 25-year-old New York resident offered herself Friday as one of People magazine's sexiest people in America, an MTV veejay or soap opera star, The Post said.

"I'm a singer, I'm an actress, I'm all of the above," she said. "America is the target area that I'm looking for and now America knows who I am."

When asked to predict who will ultimately be the next "American Idol," she told reporters: "You need to be talking to and about me."
