Big Brother houseguest Paulie Calafiore won the Power of Veto and kept Head of Household Victor Arroyo's two nominations the same during Wednesday night's broadcast on CBS.

Despite their showmance, Paulie left Zakiyah Everette on the chopping block. She is sitting next to her ally Michelle Meyer heading into Thursday night's live eviction episode.

The Big Brother broadcast began with Zakiyah hoping Paulie had her best interests in mind, however if that was truly the case, she didn't understand why she was put up on the block to begin with.

Little did Zakiyah know, the "Executives" alliance are running the house, which is comprised of Paulie, Victor, Paul Abrahamian and James Huling. Paulie and Paul -- who call themselves "P and P" -- are at the top of the ladder in this alliance unbeknownst to the other two guys.

After Victor announced his eviction nominations, Michelle ran off into a room and cried, where a group of people gathered to comfort her.

Michelle threw Paulie's name out there by saying it made no sense for Victor to nominate her when Paulie was the one who had backdoored him and sent him packing. Michelle said it was therefore a surprise Victor was kissing Paulie's butt.

Michelle's emotional outburst only confirmed to Paulie she needed to be his next target.

Michelle is very dangerous to Paulie's game at this point, as she is the first person in the house to realize he's a huge physical threat with an amazing social game. Michelle said in the Diary Room that Paulie is manipulating everyone to play his game for him and everyone is "stupid and oblivious."

Paul went into Victor's Head of Household room to chat and said it was clear Zakiyah needed to leave because she just didn't seem to care and wasn't worried at all. Paul thinks Zakiyah is a bigger threat in competitions than Michelle.

Meanwhile, Paulie told Zakiyah if he won the Power of Veto, he'd take her down off the block. But since Paulie was fidgeting and failed to maintain eye contact, Zakiyah worried he was lying and chose not to trust him. The only thing she was certain of is that he wanted Michelle gone.

In an attempt to solidify her position in the house, Zakiyah threw Michelle under the bus by saying she had been accusing Paulie of being a part of the plan to nominate both girls since he was close with Victor. The news only made Michelle a bigger target in Paulie's eyes.

Paul and Paulie, although best friends, bickered over which girl should go home first. Paulie said Zakiyah would never cross them since she was close with him and Michelle is a loose cannon who could blow up anyone's game at any time.

But Paul was set on taking Zakiyah out, and he complained to the cameras how Paulie was being selfish by making moves that only benefited himself and not his boys. For example, the "Executives" got rid of Da.Vonne Rogers for Paulie.

Throughout the drama, James was contemplating whose votes to eliminate at the next live eviction. He has the power to stop two houseguests from voting thanks to the latest "America's Care Package." He feared choosing the wrong people and then the house turning against him.

It then became time to pick the PoV players. In addition to Victor, Michelle and Zakiyah, Nicole Franzel, James and Paulie were picked to play. Zakiyah got to choose someone and selected Paulie, so she said this was his chance to prove his loyalty.

The PoV was a repeat of a competition from a prior season in which each of the six players hid a veto card somewhere in the house and everyone's goal was to later retrieve someone else's card. Whichever person hid the hardest card to find would win the Power of Veto.

After 4 hours and 47 minutes, Victor found the fifth card and it belonged to Nicole. Paulie hid his card the best -- inside the kitchen table, which no one could find -- and therefore won the PoV.

Paulie knew he was either going to piss of Zakiyah or his alliance members Paul and Victor. He had a really tough decision to make, and Victor hoped Paulie wouldn't crack under Zakiyah's influence of kisses and hugs, and keep nominations the same.

Paulie told Paul that Nicole, Corey Brooks and James all wanted Michelle out. But Paul argued Paulie could make a statement by keeping nominations the same since those three respected his gameplay and decisions.

Paulie then dropped a hint to Zakiyah he may not use the PoV on her. He assured her that Michelle was going home no matter what and he could probably convince James to use his power in their favor. Zakiyah remained cool and collected, but she was surprised and hurt on the inside.

Zakiyah felt "silly" and "helpless" because she had picked Paulie to compete in the PoV competition to begin with.

Paulie then planted seeds with James, making it seem like James came up with all the ideas. Paulie explained that Paul was pushing to keep Michelle badly probably so that he could set himself with her.

James therefore suggested wiping out Paul's vote so that Victor, Paul and Michelle didn't have the power. James wondered if Paul and Victor were "building a squad." Paulie said the guys probably wanted Zakiyah gone because she could be a number for himself and James.

James questioned whether Paul might be flipping on the "Executives," but at the end of the day, he said it's his advantage to use -- not Paulie's, which made it seem like James was just playing along the whole time.

At the Veto Meeting, Paulie decided not to use the Power of Veto. Zakiyah hoped Paulie would get her out of this mess as promised. She said she's playing the game for the money, not to find a boy.
