According to final National Nielsen ratings, the second CBS 9PM Wednesday broadcast of "Big Brother 4" once again significantly defeated FOX's "Paradise" Hotel" in the head-to-head battle of caged human hamster programs.

Last night's "Big Brother 4" episode drew a 5.6 rating / 10 share and 8.62 million overall viewers. The program was first in adults 18-49 (3.6/11) and adults 25-54 (4.2/12) and second in households, viewers and adults 18-34 (3.4/11). Compared to its "Paradise Hotel" reality competition, "Big Brother 4" enjoyed a +40% advantage in households (5.6/10 vs. 4.0/07), +16% in adults 18-49 (3.6/11 vs. 3.1/10) and +56% in adults 25-54 (4.2/12 vs. 2.7/08) -- and attracted an average of +2.23 million more viewers (8.62m vs. 6.39m).

Both programs fell short of NBC's "Law & Order" in overall viewers however, as the veteran ratings heavyweight draw a 6.5 rating / 12 share to still rank first in overall viewers for the timeslot.
