Ben Higgins went into The Bachelor looking for love without a doubt, but he also had his heart set on finding a fiancee.

Every Bachelor has options once his season winds down to the Final Rose Ceremony. In extreme cases, he could propose, walk away without finding anyone, get dumped, or even pull a Juan Pablo Galavis by just telling his last bachelorette standing, "I like you a lot," before presenting a rose.

Without knowing how Season 20 turns out, Higgins at least went into The Bachelor with the best intentions.

"Ideally, I would love to walk away from this with a fiancee... I'll be down on one knee," Higgins, 26, told People. "I'm excited about that next step of seeing her walk down the aisle towards me."

Similar to former Bachelor Sean Lowe's experience on the show, Higgins is looking for his forever match.

"It's important for me to make sure a relationship will last. My heart and her heart are involved in this and I want to make sure it's the real thing," Higgins explained.

The handsome software accounts manager revealed he wants to end up with "somebody with a genuine heart, who believes in truth and authenticity and hopefully shares the same Christian faith that I do."

When asked during a recent conference call what his dealbreakers are, Higgins was hesitant to name any. However, there's one quality in a woman that would likely turn him off.

"I'm looking for a woman who gets along with other women," he said. "Somebody who is very dramatic is not attractive to me."

The new edition of The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 4 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
