'Bachelor' couple Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft discuss having children

By Wade Paulsen, 05/23/2003

We have to give The Bachelor's Jen Schefft credit for optimism. Even though none of the couples from the previous editions of reality dating shows have ended up getting married so far, the Associated Press reports that Jen and her Bachelor mate, Andrew Firestone, discussed having children in an interview that will appear in the June 2 issue of US Weekly.

During the interview, Jen expressed her desire to have two or three children and noted how "sweet" Andrew was with his nieces and nephews. Andrew, however, seemed a little less enthusiastic and oh so classy, noting only that, with regard to having children, he and Jen were "practicing a lot right now" but that their life together was "one day at a time."

Jen also revealed that (like Bachelorette winner Trista Rehn, who moved to Aspen to be with her beau Ryan Sutter), she has now moved from Chicago to San Francisco to be with Andrew. We wish Jen good luck in her shift from the North Coast to the West Coast ... and we're sure that Amanda Marsh, Helene Eksterowicz and Zora Andrich would agree.
