Simon Cowell feels "there is definitely a better chance of a girl winning" American Idol's ninth season, however oddsmakers disagree.
While the male semifinalist tops Bodog.com's list, he's immediately followed by females Ashley Rodriguez and Didi Benami (7/1) and Crystal Bowersox and Katie Stevens (15/2).
The next male is Casey James with 8/1 odds, and he's followed by Siobhan Magnus (12/1). Todrick Hall, Janell Wheeler and Jermaine Sellers are all at 15/1, while Haeley Vaughn -- the youngest semifinalist at 16-years-old -- is at 18/1. Timothy "Tim" Urban -- who replaced disqualified semifinalist Chris Golightly -- has 25/1 odds, as do Tyler Grady and Lacey Brown. The longshots to take home American Idol's ninth-season title are Paige Miles (33/1), Michael Lynche and Alex Lambert (35/1), Lilly Scott and Katelyn Epperly (40/1), John Park and Michelle Delamor (45/1), Lee Dewyze and Aaron Kelly (50/1), and Joe Munoz (65/1). American Idol's ninth-season semifinals will begin on Tuesday, February 23 when the Top 12 female semifinalists perform live for the first time. The Top 12 male semifinalists will follow on Wednesday night, with home viewers casting their votes immediately after each broadcast. Two male and two female semifinalists will then be eliminated on American Idol's first live ninth-season results show on Thursday, February 25 at 8PM ET/PT. Get more Reality TV World!
