Nick Viall, who finished The Bachelorette's tenth season as Andi Dorfman's devastated and heartbroken runner-up, has unleashed his feelings about Dorfman's split with now ex-fiance Josh Murray and whether he wants her back.

"I was surprised. I feel for them. Heartbreak is tough for anyone, whether you're engaged or not. It stinks," Viall told E! News.

After Dorfman dumped Viall before her season's final Rose Ceremony, Viall tried to win her back and change her mind by contacting her repeatedly -- only to be ignored. Viall finally got his opportunity to talk during After the Final Rose, calling their breakup one of the "most painful days" of his life. Dorfman bluntly admitted she never loved Viall, who was taken aback by her cold demeanor.

Dorfman's comment then prompted a confused Viall to ask her why she "made love" to him. The Bachelorette said revealing such a personal detail on TV was "below the belt," but Viall insisted he just needed an explanation since they had engaged in "fiancee-type stuff" prior to her choosing Murray instead.

Viall was so hurt he was shaking during After the Final Rose and had viewers wondering whether he'd ever be able to get over Dorfman. So has he? Apparently. Because he's not looking for a second chance.

"No. In a lot of cases things happen for the right reason and in our case it did," Viall told E! News. "I'm excited about the people I have in my life now. What happened with Andi is in my past and it's going to stay there. I moved on. I don't want to move backwards."

On whether he feels vindicated now, Viall said, "The answer is no. I don't hold any ill will against either of them. I've moved on with my life."

Viall pointed out he's not currently in a relationship but he's certainly still looking for that special someone.

"I'm dating and it's been fun. I enjoy being out there. But I haven't met that girl yet," he noted.

Viall hasn't reached out to either Dorfman or Murray since the couple announced their split January 8, according to the website.

"Maybe down the line it would be nice to reconnect with Josh as a friend," Viall said.

Dorfman, 27, and Murray, 30, got engaged in May although the proposal didn't air on The Bachelorette's tenth season until late July. At the time, they had been planning a Spring 2015 wedding.
