American Idol is searching for someone very special to be crowned its final winner.

Show host Ryan Seacrest said it will be quite the honor to win Season 15 of American Idol.

"Well, I'm biased, so I would say Idol is the only show that launches superstars from the beginning, to the middle, and hopefully, to the end. We want to find a superstar for this bookend of Kelly Clarkson. We want to find someone who's going to create a magical legacy for American Idol," Seacrest said during a first-look video released by Fox for Idol's farewell edition.

"I know contestants are coming out this season because it's their final chance to audition. If you win the show this year, no one is going to forget you. You'll be the last winner of American Idol. That's a big deal. We want to show our appreciation to the audience that's watched the show season after season after season after season."

Judge Jennifer Lopez agreed with Seacrest, saying more singers will probably come out to audition than ever.

"I just feel like people know, 'I need to get in there now because I'll never have this type of opportunity ever again,'" Lopez explained.

While fellow judge Keith Urban noted they're looking for a very "engaging" performer, Harry Connick Jr. gave fans a little tease as to what they can expect.

"We have been truly impressed by a lot of people this year, and I think the surprises are going to come every week. When they pick up the microphone and they start to sing, America is going to say, 'This is unbelievable!'" Connick said.

American Idol premieres Wednesday, January 6 and Thursday, January 7 at 8PM ET/PT on Fox.
