Tyanna Jones, a 16-year-old student from Jacksonville, FL, was the bottom votegetter following last week's nationwide vote that took place after the season's Top 5 artists performed. Tyanna had never been at risk for elimination by landing in the bottom two before.

Tyanna was not afforded the opportunity to sing two songs like the other contestants during Wednesday night's performance show. Instead, she sang for the last time and took the stage with "Run The World" by Beyonce. Tyanna was very emotional following her ouster but kept a big smile on her face.

The contestants still in the running to be named the next "American Idol" are Rayvon Owen, Clark Beckham, Jax, and Nick Fradiani. These four contestants will travel to their hometowns for a hero-like welcome.

Although it was not revealed whether Rayvon was actually voted into this week's bottom two, he was also at risk of going home before the announcement was made of Tyanna's departure.

Show judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. advised Tyanna to keep going and never give up on her dreams. Jennifer said she'll experience some ups and downs along the way but will just grow stronger from them. Tyanna's talent and charisma was praised.

Last week marked the last show in which the "Idol Fan Save" was going to be utilized.

American Idol's fourteenth-season finale airs in two weeks. It was revealed that Jax will be singing with former Idol judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
