American Idol will apparently have no shortage of possible big-name judging panel replacements for Simon Cowell.

"A day doesn't pass that I don't get a call from an agent of a superstar saying, 'Can we talk?'" American Idol creator Simon Fuller told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

"Everyone's interested, and that's going to go on month after month."

Cowell inked a deal with Fox on Monday that will end his American Idol judging role while also launching his British The X Factor reality competition series for the network in Fall 2011.

He subsequently suggested that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest should pull double duty -- which a show insider told E! News was "in play" -- however Fox has remained mum on a possible replacement.

Fuller is currently in Los Angeles for American Idol's ninth-season "Hollywood Round" -- which won't air until February 9 but is taking place this week.

Specifically, Fuller said he has been watching the chemistry between new American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneneres and holdovers Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. He added DeGeneres' relationship with Cowell will "blow people away."

Fuller said the fact that American Idol was able to land someone as "dynamic" as DeGeneres to replace Paula Abdul demonstrates the level of interest he is receiving in Cowell's position.

"It's a testament to [Idol] that we attracted someone as brilliant as Ellen," Fuller told The AP.

"When we have to do something about Simon, I'll be in the luxury position of looking at all the greatest stars of the world. We can do so much with it."
