Alicia Keys held a special concert in Times Square on Sunday that also featured a performance of "Empire State of Mind" alongside Jay Z.

"It was only a matter of time before they performed this live in #TimesSquare. @aliciakeys & @S_C_ come together for 'Empire State of Mind', noted the official Twitter account of Times Square alongside a video of the performance.

As fans sang along to the hit 2009 single, images of the New York City skyline were displayed across screens in Times Square.

The concert which was made available for free to Tidal subscribers, also included Keys performing duets with Nas, John Mayer and Questlove.

Notably, the songstress and new "The Voice" coach also covered John Lennon's "Imagine" in celebration of the iconic musician's birthday.

Keys new upcoming album Here is set for release on Nov. 4.
