Ali Fedotowsky and fiance Roberto Martinez have denied they are miserable together but admitted a wedding won't take place anytime soon.

"At this point we're not planning a wedding. Does that mean we're fighting? No. Does that mean we're miserable? Absolutely not!" Fedotowsky told People.

"We're still engaged; we're still living together. We just don't feel the need to walk down the aisle right now."

The former sixth-season The Bachelorette star was responding to a Us Weekly report which claimed earlier this month that the couple "can't stand each other," "bring out the worst in each other" and are both "miserable" in their relationship due to frequent big fights and the challenge of juggling their busy work schedules.

While Fedotowsky -- who is currently working on a potential new lifestyle series for the Style Network -- said she and Martinez -- who is reportedly attempting to establish his own State Farm insurance office -- are happy together, she explained they just still need time to get to know themselves in order to build a strong relationship with each other.

"We are still figuring out our lives as individuals," Fedotowsky, who got engaged to Martinez during The Bachelorette's sixth-season finale broadcast which aired in August 2010 after she selected him as her final suitor, told People.

"We didn't meet in the most traditional way. We had a very short courtship and we only knew each other nine weeks before we got engaged."

The couple had set a date for their wedding earlier this year but postponed it when Fedotowsky broke her femur in early June in a kickboxing session and underwent surgery later that month.

"When we actually did have a date that worked for us [this past August], I found out that I had to have knee surgery," Fedotowsky said, adding that because she and Martinez plan to televise their wedding and share it with their fans, the scheduling for the ceremony has become even more difficult.

"No wedding is simple but this wedding is even more complicated."

The reality TV star may not be in a rush to get married, but she suggested she will definitely be Martinez's bride one day.

"We're happy where we are," Fedotowsky added. "When we have things figured out, we'll let you know."
