"I'm finally home and on the mend! Thanks again for everyone's support!"

Ashley, a 31-year-old from Mechanicsburg, PA, took to Instagram on December 12 to explain to her fans why she had been missing in action on social media.

"Hi everyone, I hope you're staying warm! Just a quick note to say thank you to all the @cameo requests and the products sent for endorsement," Ashley wrote.

"I am, however, very sick at the moment. I'm not ignoring you. Please standby until I'm out of the hospital."

Ashley didn't dive into the details of her illness or condition, but she did recently share that she suffers from lupus, a chronic autoimmune disorder.

But her fiance on 90 Day Fiance, Jay Smith, seemingly confirmed Ashley's hospitalization was due to her ongoing battle with lupus on Thursday when he posted two photos of Ashley sleeping in a hospital bed.

"I promise I will always be there for you through all the ups and downs, no matter what happens. Love you babe girl get well soon #lupus #getwellsoon #staystrong," Jay captioned the images.

During a November episode of 90 Day Fiance's sixth season, Ashley appeared under the weather or as if she had been crying following a blowout fight with her fiance Jay, a 20-year-old from Port Maria, Jamaica.

Shortly after the episode aired, Ashley posted a photo of herself in the hospital with a red rash on her neck.

"A lot of people are asking why I look so sad and like I was crying for days in last night's episode. This photo was taken hours before that filming. I had a reaction to a medication for lupus and my eyes and my neck were [completely] broke out," Ashley wrote.

"They gave me steroids to help it, but it wasn't completely gone. I was battling this the entire rest of the season so I just wanted to address it."
