90 Day Fiance couple Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou reportedly haven't seen each other in two years and don't talk often.

"It'll be two years since they've seen each other," a source told RadarOnline of the engaged couple, who were supposed to get married soon.

"They still talk occasionally, but there have been a lot of fights between them on the phone."

The source added, "The family is surprised they're still together."

Nicole and Azan met on a mobile dating app years ago when she was 21 years old and living in Bradenton, FL. Azan was 23 years old and from Agadir, Morocco, at the time.

Nicole and Azan got their start on reality TV by starring on Season 4 of the original 90 Day Fiance series, followed by Season 5 of the series.

That later led into an appearance on Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? and then Season 4.

Nicole had purchased a ticket to Morocco earlier this year so she and Azan could finally wed, but the trip got canceled just two weeks later. (Prior to Nicole's Morocco plans falling through, Azan had also canceled the pair's vacation to Grenada due to an alleged "family emergency.")

Nicole never disclosed the reasons behind canceling her latest trip to Morocco, but the frustration and disappointment all over her face on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? pointed to Azan being the decision-maker.

During the Tell-All special for the spinoff's fourth season, Nicole announced her trip to Morocco didn't happen "because sometimes, things are just personal."

Nicole and Azan currently have no wedding date set, according to RadarOnline.

"They have no plans for a wedding," the source said. "He can't get a visa. She's talked about going back to Morocco, but she doesn't have money. She has to save."

In September, Nicole reportedly revealed on social media she and Azan will no longer film for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? and are leaving the series.

"They're tired of being harassed," the source told the website. "It was Nicole's decision. They have no intention right now of going back on the program."

Around that same time, however, Nicole insisted on Instagram she and Azan were "still together happily," although they had no immediate plans to marry.

"We don't have plans to get married officially at this moment because I'm doing my life here with [my daughter] May right now and he's working doing his life there right now. That doesn't mean we won't, it means we'll do it when the time is right for us," Nicole wrote to a fan at the time.

Nicole went on to say, "Don't believe rumors. Because 90% of what y'all read on the internet about him and us is false. Trust me or not, that's not my business. I don't put all of our life out there. That's not called lying, it's called privacy. Good day."

In August, a source told In Touch Weekly that Nicole was getting her life "back on track" with a new job as a barista at Starbucks and an apartment of her own. Nicole had also enrolled May, now 5, in kindergarten.

"She's starting this new phase of living on her own, working, and putting May into school... She's focusing on those aspects of her life right now before she can consider going to Morocco or starting a future with Azan," an insider shared this past summer.

Nicole planned to become Azan's wife when she quit her job and traveled to Morocco in 2018, but wedding plans got canceled due to alleged time and financial constraints.

At the time, Azan seemed to convince Nicole to invest $6,000 of her wedding money into opening a beauty store instead, while he planned to contribute $500 to the overall cost.

It's unclear whether that store was a real possibility or will ever actually open considering both Nicole and Azan have made different claims in recent months.

Fans were skeptical of the wedding cancellation last year, thinking it was all Azan's doing and Nicole was just pretending she was onboard with it all because she didn't want to throw Azan under the bus or make either of them look bad.

Back in June, Nicole said it was "highly likely" her wedding would take place by the end of 2019, but that's clearly not happening anymore.

Despite concern from family, friends and even 90 Day Fiance fans, Nicole apparently continues to believe Azan loves her and his intentions are pure.

Viewers last saw Nicole completely smitten with Azan, looking forward to hopefully welcoming him into the United States one day.
