Jill, 22, has announced she'll be tying the knot with Derick Dillard, 25, after only recently revealing their courtship, People reported.

"I am so happy... I would have said yes even if he'd given me a ring pop! He's my wish come true. I'm so blessed to be engaged to the most wonderful man in the world," Jill told People.

"Our story is so very unique. The first time we talked, he was in Japan, we met in Nepal, he spent time in India and Israel and then came back to Arkansas where he met my family. We have a very international story even though we live so close."

"I feel like I'm dreaming," added Derick.

The pair walked into the center of Bentonville, AR, on a sunny, spring day when a stranger on a park bench asked if he could sing the couple a love song.

"By the second verse, I knew the song was about Derick and me," Jill explained.

Musicians then reportedly popped out from behind bushes and Derick proposed with a 0.63-carat diamond ring he had specially designed for her. When asked for her hand in marriage, Jill said she replied, "Yes! Totally!"

Jill is reportedly studying to become a midwife, while Derick works as an accountant in Rogers, AR. Jill's approach to dating was very chaperoned, traditional and hands-off. Only side-hugs were apparently allowed prior to their engagement. Once Derick popped the question, he and the reality TV star agreed they could finally hold hands.

"It was great to grab her hand for the first time," Derick told People.

The couple will reportedly share their first kiss on the day they wed, which will take place in the next few months. They also hope to have a big family and adopt as well.

"We want to save the physical side of our relationship for our wedding day and not go further than we should. If you are kissing, it gets more intimate," Jill explained. "Obviously you can kiss and not have sex. It's about setting a higher standard so you don't struggle [with temptation]."

Jill and her sisters Jana, 24; Jessa, 21; and Jinger, 20, discuss the differences between courting and dating as devout Christians in their new book Growing Up Duggar: It's All About Relationships, which was released in early March. According to Jessa, each young adult in her family is able to make his or her own rules about courting although parents Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar have always offered guidance.

Before Jill began courting Derick, whose beliefs are in sync with Jill's, she wrote him a three-page list of intense faith-related questions he answered via Skype.

"It was an interrogation," Jill admitted to the magazine. "I didn't want to not have the guts to ask the tough questions.
