VH1 has announced For the Love of Ray J's second season will premiere Monday, November 2 at 9PM ET/PT.

Similar to the reality dating show's first season, For the Love of Ray J 2 will follow the rapper, producer and actor -- whose real name is William Raymond Norwood, Jr. -- as he whittles down a group of 19 women while living with them in a Hollywood Hills mansion.

The ladies will accompany him on numerous dates and participate in a series of challenges while also facing eliminations -- as only one of the them will be chosen by Ray J in the show's finale.

For the Love of Ray J's first season aired on VH1 earlier this year and ended with him selecting Bad Girls Club first-season star Joanna "Cocktail" Hernandez. While the two stayed together long enough for the show's reunion special, they subsequently split.

For the Love of Ray J's first-season finale averaged 4.4 million total viewers and VH1 subsequently renewed the series in April.

The series is produced by 51 Minds Entertainment -- the same production company behind numerous other reality shows for VH1 since 2004, including Daisy of Love, New York Goes to Work, two Real Chance of Love editions, New York Goes to Hollywood, three Rock of Love editions, three Charm School editions, Gotti's Way, three I Love Money editions, Celebrity Paranormal Project, two I Love New York editions, My Fair Brady, three Flavor of Love editions, Strange Love, and five The Surreal Life editions.

In addition, 51 Minds was also behind Megan Wants a Millionaire -- which drew national attention this summer after bachelor Ryan Jenkins was charged with murdering his ex-wife Jasmine Fiore.  Jenkins then hung himself in a secluded motel after successfully eluding American and Canadian authorities and fleeing to his native Canada.

VH1 subsequently canceled Megan Wants a Millionaire as well as I Love Money 3 -- which had filmed in Mexico this summer but wasn't scheduled to premiere until January.  According to reports, Jenkins was I Love Money's third-season winner.

VH1 president Tom Calderone has since stated the network is planning a new programming strategy.
