The Voice's Battle Round concluded with six artists surviving the cut and advancing to a brand-new round on the show called "Cross Battles" during Tuesday night's Season 16 broadcast on NBC.

The artists who advanced by winning their respective Battles were Andrew Jannakos, a 25-year-old from Flowery Branch, GA; Selkii, a 31-year-old from Durban, South Africa; Kayslin Victoria, a 16-year-old from Clermont, FL; Carter Lloyd Horne, a 19-year-old from Marietta, GA; and Karen Galera, a 19-year-old from Mexico who currently resides in Dallas, TX.

The Battle Round came to an end on Tuesday night with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend narrowing down their teams through a series of team-member faceoffs.

In each Battle, a coach pairs two of his or her team members up at a time and chooses a song for them to sing together. While the duo must blend their different sounds in a duet, the goal is to out-perform the other for only one spot on the team moving forward.

However, Adam, John, Kelly, and Blake are each allowed two "Steals" during this round, which means he or she may select two losing artists from opposing coaches' Battles to join his or her own team for the upcoming "Knockout Round" and potentially beyond.

The artist who lost her Battle but was stolen by another coach in last night's episode was Oliv Blu, a 21-year-old from Flossmoor, IL.

For the Battles this season, Charlie Puth is serving as Adam's team advisor, Kelsea Ballerini is working with Kelly's team, Khalid is helping out John's team, and Brooks & Dunn is mentoring Blake's team.

The first Battle pairing of the night belonged to "Team Adam."

Adam paired Andrew Jannakos with Patrick McAloon, a 40-year-old from Barrington, RI, to sing "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty.

Blake remembered losing Patrick in the Blind Auditions, saying he's a fan.

But Blake noted the "real discovery" here was Andrew because he "just soared on the chorus." Blake thought it would be a matter of taste for Adam.

Kelly gushed about Patrick's tone and vibe, but Andrew won her over because he shocked her.

John said he was "truly shocked" by Andrew's strong range but he seemed to prefer Patrick's voice because it has so much "character, personality and individuality."

Adam explained both artists are amazing. He said Andrew nailed the high notes but both singers really stepped up and impressed him that day.

However, Adam named Andrew the winner of the Battle because he blew the entire panel of coaches away.

Blake decided not to use his steal in fear of someone spectacular coming along.

Kelly's team was up next, and she matched Selkii with Cecily Hennigan, a 16-year-old from Conway, SC, for a Battle.

The ladies took the stage with "Head Above Water" by Avril Lavigne.

Kelly told Selkii she has a rocker, storyteller vibe with so much passion but Cecily came across very sincere and polished.

John complimented Cecily's "beautiful instrument" but noted Selkii had more experience.

Adam told Selkii that she broke his heart because he really wanted her on his team. Adam leaned more towards her, but he admitted Cecily "sang the crap" out of the song.

Blake had to make a tough decision, admitting he was "torn" over the two artists because they both had delivered.

Blake therefore opted to go with experience and declared Selkii the winner of the Battle.

John then matched the following two team members for a Battle: Oliv Blu with Kayslin Victoria.

John asked the girls to sing "Location" by Khalid.

Adam thought the Battle was "awesome" and very close between the two young artists. They were stylistically different.

Blake said Kayslin's development was "enticing," but John might have a kinship with Oliv musically considering they both "scat."

Kelly admitted she was hanging on Oliv's every single sound and note, but she complimented Kayslin's huge "gigantic" voice. Kelly predicted Kayslin would nail any song given to her.

John appreciated Oliv's "swagger" but called Kayslin "a fantastic singer."

In the end, John announced Kayslin had won the Battle because he didn't have any female singers on his team like her.

John was excited to watch her grow but felt she was already "polished."

Blake, however, opted to steal Oliv for his own team because there's no one else in the competition who fills her lane. He said she's "jazzy."

Two Battles were also briefly featured in a video montage.

Carter Lloyd sang "I Got You Babe" by Sonny & Cher against Lili Joy, a 15-year-old from Chino Hills, CA, for "Team Blake," and Blake named Carter the winner of the Battle.

And For Kelly's team, Alena D'Amico, a 26-year-old from Detroit, MI, and Karen Galera sang a duet of "Imagine" by Ariana Grande. Kelly decided Karen had won the Battle because she'd handle her nerves better going forward.

The artists who advanced from the Battle Round will now move on to a brand-new round being introduced by The Voice called "Cross Battles" that will air live next Monday and Tuesday night.

Two artists will face off from any team and will not find out whom they are battling until they step onstage.

Each coach will be allowed the opportunity to "Steal" one person as well as "Save" one person.

Everyone else, however, is chosen by America as they perform live.
