The Voice named Chris Blue, a 26-year-old from Knoxville, TN, its Season 12 winner during Tuesday night's live broadcast of the NBC reality singing competition's finale.

"The winner of The Voice is... Chris Blue," The Voice host Carson Daly announced at the conclusion of the two-hour broadcast. "Team Alicia! You did it! A big hand for Chris and all four of our finalists tonight!"

Blue's win mark the first win for The Voice coach Alicia Keys, who joined the reality competition's coaching panel last season.

"Coach Alicia Keys, a champion, after coaching two seasons on The Voice!" Daly noted. "Chris Blue! the very last artist selected in the Blind Auditions process goes on to win it all!"

Lauren Duski, a 25-year-old from Gaylord, MI, finished as the competition's runner-up. Duski had been mentored by The Voice coach Blake Shelton.

"And a big hand for Lauren Duski! What a season!" Daly said.

According to Daly, Blue and Duski's vote difference was among the tightest home-viewer voting margins in The Voice's twelve seasons.

"[It was] one of the closest voting between our Top 2 finalists that we have ever seen on this show," he explained.

Blue won after he received the most home viewer votes following Monday night's final The Voice performance show, which had also featured Jesse Larson and Aliyah Moulden competing alongside Blue and Duski.

Moulden, a 15-year-old from La Habra, CA, had also been a member of Shelton's team and finished in third place.

Larson, a 34-year-old from Minneapolis, MN, a member of coach Adam Levine's team, finished in fourth place.
