Present members Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton have sifted through "thousands of gifted hopefuls" who wanted to become the seventh singer/dancer of the Pussycat Dolls. Robin Antin, the group's founder and choreographer; Ron Fair, the chairman of Geffen Records; and ex-convict, reality star and Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil' Kim will serve as judges on the series and aided the search.
After a nationwide audition process last fall, the three judges narrowed the contestants down to the final group of nine young women who moved into a Los Angeles-based loft in the city's fashion district for the reality competition. The nine finalists range in age from 18 to 25, and all have backgrounds in singing, dancing, acting -- or all three.
