The Bachelor host Chris Harrison has revealed Peter Weber's stint on the show was "a wild ride" and resembled Ben Higgins' season because both men aren't afraid to be transparent and vulnerable.

When asked how things ended up for Peter on Season 24, Chris joked with Entertainment Tonight, "Well, he's married; she's pregnant. Spoiler alert. Should I say spoiler alert?"

"I will say this," Chris continued on a serious note, "and I don't mean this as a pilot reference or anything -- it's a wild ride for Peter."

Peter's The Bachelor season began filming in September and will premiere with a special three-hour event on Monday, January 6 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

"It is a very wild ride," Chris elaborated.

"I was trying to think of a season I could go back and reference. It's kind of like a Ben Higgins type of season, where it's a guy who really wears his heart and his emotions on his sleeve."

As fans probably recall, Ben fell in love with both Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher on The Bachelor's 20th season in 2016, and he told both women how he felt before the Final Rose Ceremony.

Ben ultimately chose Lauren and proposed marriage to her, leaving JoJo devastated and blindsided because Ben had made her feel like they were going to be together. Lauren later had trouble getting over Ben's highly-publicized relationship and breakup with JoJo. (They've since split).

Chris elaborated Peter "is really good at compartmentalizing" relationships, "but almost too much so."

Separating relationships can be a good and bad thing when starring on The Bachelor franchise.

While it's great for the leads to focus on one romance at a time, a Bachelor or Bachelorette must also be concerned about how his or her actions are affecting the other contestants and take their feelings into account.

"Peter has a tough time kind of just like cutting the cord with people, and things kind of linger and stuff, and that makes it kind of difficult," Chris explained.

"As he kicks the can down the road, you meet some emotional roadblocks and things get pretty tough down the road."

Because things apparently get so tough, Chris shared he and Peter "have some heart-to-hearts."

Chris also confirmed Peter's emotions will spill over during the season.

Peter's group of 30 bachelorettes includes several beauty queens and models, a few flight attendants, a pro sports dancer, a cattle rancher, a house flipper, and a lawyer.

"What does a hard-charging career woman from a family of elite lawyers, a delightfully quirky bombshell full of self-doubt, a beauty who can be a real beast, a gorgeous girl next door who is a hoopster at heart and a sophisticated city girl who speaks her mind all have in common?" ABC teased when announcing the cast last week.

"They're all on the hunt for love with Peter Weber."

By the end of Night 1, only 22 bachelorettes will remain in the running for the pilot's heart.

Peter's journey to find love will then continue internationally with stops in Costa Rica, Chile, Peru and beyond, where relationships will grow and surprises await the unsuspecting Bachelor.
