Host Chris Harrison revealed on After Paradise Monday night that the Bachelor will be disclosed during next week's live after show on August 24 at 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

In addition, the next The Bachelor star will be making a special appearance on After Paradise following the highly-anticipated announcement.

Many sources have come forward in recent weeks confirming The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe's second runner-up, Ben Higgins, is going to be the franchise's next leading man.

Higgins, a 27-year-old software salesman from Denver, CO, allegedly turned down a promotion at work and pumped the brakes on a budding romance with Bachelor in Paradise star Tenley Molzahn to try to find love on TV again, Us Weekly reported.

Higgins and 31-year-old Molzahn from The Bachelor's fourteenth season "want to hook up but haven't," the source told Us. "They're being careful not to jeopardize Ben H.'s Bachelor stint."

Although Higgins previously said in July he's "not extremely comfortable" with all the attention, he's apparently gotten used to it.

Both Bristowe and her fiance Shawn Booth campaigned for Higgins after Season 11 wrapped, saying he's definitely ABC's best pick for the role. The couple agreed Higgins is an amazing guy and one of the nicest people they've ever met.

The Bachelor's twentieth season will air in January 2016 although the exact date has yet to be declared.
