"I've heard reports as of late that Chris Bukowski and I are dating, and I just want to go ahead and completely squash that, because that is far from the truth," Murphy, who was eliminated from Sean Lowe's The Bachelor edition during last week's broadcast, told Reality TV World in an exclusive interview.
Murphy, a 25-year-old political consultant, recently served as a surprise auctioneer at a Virginia charity event in which a date with Bukowski was auctioned off, prompting speculation the pair may be dating.
According to a new Us Weekly report which cited an unnamed "insider," Bukowski had recently contacted Murphy via Twitter and the pair -- who both currently reside in the Washington, DC area -- began "hooking up."
However, Murphy told Reality TV World she doesn't even have a guy in the picture right now.
"No, there's not. I'm just having a good time in D.C. and, you know, I am definitely a 20-something single girl and definitely looking toward the next move and settling down with a nice southern gentleman. Yeah, I'm just loving life and that's all I can say about that! I'm definitely single and in a good spot, so I can't complain," she said.
Murphy was ousted fromThe Bachelor's seventeenth season just before Lowe visited the remaining four bachelorettes' hometowns.
Bukowski vied for the heart of Emily Maynard during The Bachelorette's eighth season and finished fourth in line. However, he then went on to create waves and controversy during the third season of Bachelor Pad last summer, finishing as the second-place couple with Sarah Newlon and developing a reputation as a womanizer.
