The Teen Mom 2 star has filed for divorce from co-star and husband Corey Simms in Kanawha County, West Virginia on Friday, RadarOnline reported Sunday.

MTV cameras reportedly filmed Messer with a friend on Saturday crying over the legal documents in a park near the county courthouse.

Messer's local Charleston Gazette-Mail newspaper also published notice of the divorce filing -- "Leah Messer Simms from Corey Simms" -- in Saturday's edition.

The couple -- whose wedding was shown on Teen Mom 2's season finale last month -- got married on October 17, but 18-year-old Messer was apparently hesitant to make the lifelong commitment at the time.

"I was just scared. I guess I was getting cold feet. Yeah, marriage to me is a big commitment. If I take that step, it's going to be forever. It's not just now or a month from now and get a divorce," Leah had told Dr. Drew Pinky during Teen Mom 2's reunion special, which aired earlier this month.

Simms had also seemed committed to Messer and the couple's children, 16-month-old twins Aleeah and Aliannah, during the reunion show.

"I'll do whatever it takes to make [Ali] happy. Same thing with Leah," Simms had told Drew about his daughter Aliannah, who has shown signs of being developmentally challenged.
