Syfy announced it has ordered Mary Knows Best, a new reality series starring Long Island psychic Mary Occhino that is currently scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 15 at 9PM ET/PT.

The tentatively-titled reality series will follow the Italian-American matriarch as she balances her family life with her three children and skeptic siblings with her career as a psychic intuitive -- which includes hosting Angels on Call, a Sirius Radio show, on weekday mornings.

"Mary is not your average psychic," said Syfy programming executive Mark Stern.

"Whether hosting her successful radio show, dealing with her children or just a passerby, her straightforward, no-nonsense demeanor and knack for never knowing when to quit, gives her a unique charm."

Syfy has ordered six one-hour episodes of the reality series, which is being produced Atlas Media Corp. Production is currently slated to start this spring.
