Lifetime has ordered a new The Hills-like reality series that will follow several young female socialites living in the nation's capital, the Washington D.C. Examiner reported Monday.

The show will begin filming next month, according to the Examiner, which added it is currently slated to air in the November timeslot immediately following Project Runway sixth-season episodes. Lifetime acquired the Bravo flagship series earlier this year after reaching a five-year deal with Project Runway's The Weinstein Company production company.

The currently untitled series is produced by PB&J Television, and the Examiner reported last month that the production company was "close to finding a network" for the series.

Cast members will reportedly include twenty-something socialites Katherine Kennedy, Krista Johnson and Sophie Pyle, as well as Krista's younger sister Alexa.

"It's all going to be about our real lives," Krista, a South Carolina College of Charleston graduate, told the Examiner.  "It's going to be in the same vein of MTV's The Hills but ours is going to be more realistic."

Kennedy added she was initially hesitant about getting involved with the project.

"I'll be honest, when they first approached me I had no desire to do reality TV," she told the Examiner.  "My biggest concern is protecting my relationships and not putting them in jeopardy through the potential negative fuss of reality TV."

One source told the Examiner that casting for the series has yet to be finalized.
