DIY Network has announced Season 8 of Rehab Addict starring Nicole Curtis, a home renovator, will premiere Wednesday, October 4 at 9PM ET/PT.

During the new eight-episode season, Nicole and her team will save historic homes in Detroit, MI and restore them to their stately beauty and original charm.

The premiere of Season 8 will feature Nicole tackling the renovation of two Detroit houses simultaneously -- the Ferndale house and the 14 Mile property, which were both built in 1928 and have similar floor plans.

Nicole and her team will start with the living room of the 14 Mile home, where they will recreate the beautiful old staircase and frame the windows in oak to match the original design.

The seventh season of Rehab Addict wrapped in May 2016, so fans have been anticipating the series' return for a while.

Curtis told Country Living earlier this year that personal issues, such as the death of her grandmother, delayed the new season.

"My life is absolutely not perfect," Curtis admitted to the magazine. "The most important thing for me is to be strong for my children and my grandfather. Every day he asks, 'Why am I still here?!' I said, 'You know what, I think because God was not going to take you [and Grandma] from me at the same time. C'mon, Gramps!'"

Curtis was also apparently dealing with legal issues regarding a protective order against her filed by her mother, Joan Curtis.

"Our situation is absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking. I can't say anymore to that," Curtis said, adding that she also went through a custody battle over her two-year-old son, Harper, who was born in May 2015.

Rehab Addict debuted on the DIY Network in October 2010.
