Performance artist to honor late British reality TV star Jade Goody

Performance artist Mark McGowan says he will re-enact the final hours of Jade Goody's life as a tribute to the late British reality TV star.

McGowan said his scheduled May 18 performance at London's Cordy House will offer his artistic rendition of the "Big Brother" star's final moments before she succumbed to cervical cancer March 22, The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
"I am from south London and I loved Jade," McGowan said.
"The last months of her life were in the public eye, except the moments of her death. As an artist, this is my tribute to Jade. I always supported her, even through the Shilpa Shetty incident."
McGowan was referring to derogatory and racist comments Goody allegedly made to fellow "Celebrity Big Brother 2007" contestant Shetty, an Indian actress.
