While a return to reality television might still be in Paula Abdul's future, a role on Broadway is not.

The former American Idol judge denied a recent report that she was going to make her Broadway debut in the 2008 Tony Award winning musical In The Heights during a Saturday night appearance at Perez Hilton's birthday party, The Los Angeles Timesreported.
Abdul was responding to a Thursday RadarOnline report in which sources claimed she was going to take over for Priscilla Lopez as one of In The Heights' leads.
"It's always been Abdul's dream to star on Broadway," the source told RadarOnline.
"Paula has been in talks with producers for several weeks and made a special overnight trip to New York on March 17 just to see the successful Broadway show."
The NBC project would reportedly follow Abdul and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega as they choreograph mass dances in public locations, and Ortega was apparently the one pushing to get Abdul on In The Heights.
"Seems as if Ortega wants Paula involved in this project," the source told RadarOnline. "Ortega is hot to have her choreograph the film version."
There's also the chance that Abdul could reunite with her former American Idol colleague Simon Cowell -- as she continued to play coy about her possible involvement with the launch of his The X Factor reality series on Fox in Fall 2011.
"We'll have to see on that," she told reporters at Hilton's birthday party.
