Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi appeared to dance around the topic of where to live after The Bachelor if they got engaged during Monday night's episode.

Vanessa revealed she will never compromise on her core values, which include attending her large Italian family's three-hour Sunday lunch every week in Montreal. Nick, however, didn't acknowledge that would be feasible and confessed he couldn't picture himself moving to Canada in general. He hoped relocating to a different country was not a non-negotiable.
"I'm very progressive in a lot of ways, but I'm a very proud American," Nick recently told Glamour magazine, which is exactly what he told Vanessa during their date.
"It sounds so corny to say, but I am and have always been very -- I'm just so proud. I don't ever not want to live in America. And Canada is great! I love Canada. A lot of great things in Canada. But..."
Vanessa told Nick in the episode she is equally as proud to be a Canadian. Despite never apparently reaching an agreement or conclusion, Vanessa gushed about falling deeper in love with The Bachelor star, and Nick gave her a rose and sent home Rachel Lindsay instead at the subsequent Rose Ceremony.
When Glamour flat out asked Nick if he'd move to Montreal with Vanessa if they ended up together, he replied, "I would do anything for love."
But after a pause, Nick noted with a laugh, "But I want to live in America."
Nick is almost quoting the famous Meat Loaf song "I Would Do Anything For Love," which contains the lyric, "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that!"
Nick teased that Bachelor Nation will have to continue watching the show to determine what the rest of Vanessa's "core values" are that she won't compromise on.
Vanessa's roots are firmly placed in Montreal, Quebec as her entire close-knit Italian family lives there, including parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. She also loves her job teaching adults with special needs, and it's clear her students adore her and are very attached to her.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin-born Nick has been living in Los Angeles, CA, and launching a business of hair and facial products. The 36-year-old former software salesman has also already signed on to compete on Dancing with the Stars' upcoming 24th season.
"You have to challenge," Nick told the magazine. "It's all great to be like, 'You're great, we're great, let's all talk about the great things.' But I think [our tough conversation] speaks to the seriousness of the relationship that Vanessa and I had at the time and our willingness to make sure it was real."
