NBC president says 'Fame' "did not work"

Fresh on the heels of Harlemm Lee's victory in the finale of NBC's talent/reality show Fame, TV Guide Online reports that Jeff Zucker, president of NBC's entertainment division, told television critics that Fame "did not work."

We're sure that Fame producers Stone Stanley Productions and Jeff Margulies, not to mention Harlemm Lee himself, were pleased to hear that NBC was already denigrating the show before Lee has even had a chance to complete the TV-talk-show circuit to demonstrate his talent.

As a side point, the failure of Fame shows once again that family connections can help get a show on the air in Hollywood but can't make it a success. Note that the host and co-creator of Stone Stanley's Fame, Debbie Allen, is the sister-in-law of the current host of Stone Stanley's Celebrity Mole, Ahmad Rashad...
