NBC begins casting for fourth 'The Biggest Loser' edition

NBC has announced that it has begun casting for the fourth season of The Biggest Loser, its popular reality weight loss show.
In addition to conducting open casting calls in eight cities beginning this weekend, mail-in applications forms are also available via The Biggest Loser's NBC.com website. Mail-in application forms are being accepted now through August 4, 2006. Besides a completed application form, all mail-in applications must be must be accompanied by a five-minute videotape explaining why you should be on The Biggest Loser.
According to the application's eligibility requirements, all participants will have to make themselves available to the show's production between September 2006 and December 2007 -- an extremely long sixteen month window would appear to indicate that NBC is looking to get a very early start on The Biggest Loser edition that would air as part of the network's Fall 2007 schedule. The show's third edition will air this fall as part of NBC's 2006-2007 primetime schedule.
The Biggest Loser's open casting calls will begin Saturday, July 1 and visit Seattle, Boston, Jacksonville, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, New York, Atlanta, and Chicago. The Biggest Loser casting folks guarantee that the first 800 people in line at each location will be seen. People will not be allowed to line up before 8AM.
