MTV has announced the premiere of Taquita & Kaui, a new reality series that will follow the two former Making the Band 3 hopefuls as they attempt to give showbiz another try, this time in Las Vegas.  The series is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 2 at 10:30PM ET/PT.

Both girls competed in the second season of MTV's Making the Band 3, which chronicled Sean "Diddy" Combs' attempt to form the all-female group Danity Kane.  Kaui was eliminated in the Fall 2005 series' seventh episode because she her dancing skills failed her.  While her new best friend Taquita made the show's finale, she was also eventually eliminated.

Now Taquita and Kaui have moved to Las Vegas to pursue their dreams, but quickly learn that excelling in the real world is just as difficult as it is in reality television.  Trying to make it as singers and dancers lands the girls some odd jobs in the entertainment industry, and Taquita & Kaui will include footage of the duo working as clowns, magician assistants and background dancers, among others.

Taquita & Kaui is executive produced by Perry Dance and Ted Iredell for the Ted & Perry Company, as well as Combs.
