HOME > Road RulesMTV's 'Road Rules 13' to take place in Chile and Argentina, premiere in May
MTV and Bunim-Murray Productions have announced that production will begin immediately on the 13th season of Road Rules that will send six strangers to Chile and Argentina.
"We're incredibly excited about bringing Road Rules to South America where this season will focus on extreme adventure in exotic locations." said Lois Curren, Executive Vice President, MTV Series Entertainment. "We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Bunim-Murray Productions."
"Chile and Argentina's exotic locations and tradition of extreme sports guarantee a season that is not only exciting, but also breathtakingly beautiful" said Jon Murray, the show's co-creator and executive producer. Road Rules follows the adventures of six 18-22 year-olds, guided only by a set of clues. Each episode features the cast in a new destination with a new mission they must complete in order to get to the next location. The participants surrender all money and credit cards when filming begins, forcing them to live by their wits and the lump sum of cash that they carefully budget in order to last them the entire ten weeks. Road Rules was created for MTV by Jon Murray and Mary-Ellis Bunim of Bunim-Murray Productions and Jon Murray serves as the executive producer. Jeff Jenkins produces Road Rules. Drew Tappon and Jacquelyn French are executives in charge of production. |
